Our physiotherapist aims to ease symptoms such as pain, lack of movement and fatigue while providing tools to minimise recurrence
Rachel Coulter B AppSc (Physiotherapy), Grad Dip Exercise and Sports Science
Rachel is a holistic therapist who began her bodywork journey with Physiotherapy training over 30 years ago. After working in Sydney for several years, she moved to the US to broaden her skillset and experience. On returning to Australia, Rachel settled the Northern Rivers and completed a Graduate Diploma in Exercise and Sports Sciences. Rachel has also studied and utilises Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Energy Healing and Gestalt Therapy techniques in her treatment.
Rachel’s aim is to provide a safe and supportive environment for your system to recognise and release what no longer serves you. Her treatment philosophy is centred on the interconnectedness of the body and mind, “our bodies are a reflection of our mind, our minds a reflection of what is happening within the body. The two are inseparable.” The nerves of the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) terminate in the muscles, fascia, joints and organs, every cell is at the mercy of its messages. Physical trauma, mental strain, and emotional and spiritual issues can result in tissue tension. By listening to the body, tension patterns can be discovered then treated using gentle touch. Rachel believes that a progressive home exercise program is an integral part to ongoing healing and overall wellness.
