Dr Dan Hanson is co-founder of Myofocus, and The Myofunctional Space, inventor of Sleepystrip nasal breathing tape, and founder of BreathCoachEducation.Com. He was also a founding member of ‘The Tongue Tie Institute’.

Dan has been a Buteyko Institute breathing educator and an active member of the Buteyko Institute of Breathing and Health since 2012.
Prior to co-founding Myofocus, he was lecturer and Principal Dentist for MRC (Myobrace), and has lectured to professional dental audiences all over the world since 2015 with locations including Australia, New Zealand, USA, UK, France, Japan and Malaysia.
Dan is a dentist with a breadth of experience that he shares in his capacities as a mentor, clinical consultant, orofacial myofunctional therapist and Buteyko breathing educator.
Dan continues to work in his breathing clinic as a Buteyko practitioner and is a board member of IFUNA (the ‘International Functional Association’).
Outside of the myofunctional, orthodontic and airway sphere, Dan is founder of ‘The Community Solution’ with a mission to encourage more local grass roots communities to form, in order to help people to adapt, connect and thrive.
Dan is a professional facilitator working for several national and internationally recognised organisations on rites of passage programs, assisting teenage boys to transition into healthy young men. He is also a men’s coach and group personal development facilitator with a passion for self-inquiry, providing transformational experiences for private individuals as well as businesses via his website BreatheHealthRetreats.Com
Born in Liverpool, England, Dan is married to Rach and lives in Northern New South Wales, Australia.
