Trauma, Polyvagal Theory and the Gift of Yoga, Breath Work and Meditation Practice.

Psychologist Simon DuBois explores the framework of the nervous system through the lens pf Polyvagal Theory, to allow you the capacity to understand the organ of the nervous system, which we are seeking to bring health and wellbeing through. Simon will also explore trauma, what is considered trauma and how it can injure the nervous system.

This is a longer length education talk of 97 minutes to educate and empower you on the nervous system through the lens of Polyvagal Theory.  

Simon DuBois has more than 20 years’ experience supporting people in the Byron Shire. Over the years he has developed a reputation for helping his patients explore psychological distress in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Simon works with traditional treatment therapies, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy and Mindfulness. He is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation Therapy (EMDR), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and Polyvagal Therapy for the treatment of trauma based distress and can provide treatment for depression and pain with the use of non-invasive Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS).
