What is EMDR? Presented by Psychologist Simon DuBois

Psychologist Simon DuBois, introduces EMDR Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. Looking at the injuries of traumatic exposure, Simon outlines how EMDR is used to treat these injuries from a neuropsychological perspective and approach. 

Simon DuBois has more than 20 years’ experience supporting people in the Byron Shire. Over the years he has developed a reputation for helping his patients explore psychological distress in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Simon works with traditional treatment therapies, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy and Mindfulness. He is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation Therapy (EMDR), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and Polyvagal Therapy for the treatment of trauma based distress and can provide treatment for depression and pain with the use of non-invasive Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS).
